Opening hours
The opening hours of Taipei Zoo are from 9 am to 5 pm, with the last entry being at 4 pm.
The opening hours for animal exhibits are from 9 am to 4.30 pm.
The zoo is closed to visitors on the eve of the Chinese New Year (January 21) and late June (June 12 to June 21).
On the last Saturday of October and every Saturday in July and August,, the zoo closes at 9 pm. on the last Saturday in October.
Please enter through the Main Entrance, as the Zoo South Station Entrance closes at 4 pm.
The Education Centre and the Shuttle Train are accessible at 4.30 p.m.

Maokong Gondola and Zoo South Station are closed during regular maintenance and bad weather.

Alight at Taipei Zoo Station on the MRT Wenshan-Neihu Line.

You can take buses 236, 282, 294, 295, 611, 676, 679, 933, 1073, 1501, 1503, 1558, BR3, BR6, BR11, BR15, BR18, G1, S12.
Take any of the above buses and get off at the Taipei Zoo stop.
By Car
You could take either of these routes:
- National Freeway No.1 Chung Shan Highway
- Second Northern Highway of National Motorway No. 3.
This will lead you onto Xinguang Road. from where Taipei Zoo isn’t too far.
