How to get to London Zoo

ZSL London Zoo is on the Northern edge of Regent’s Park, affectionately known as Regent Zoo to locals.

The zoo lies near three underground stations: Camden Town Station, Regent’s Park Station, and Baker Street Station. 

This strategic location enhances convenience and accessibility for visitors.

There are several modes of transportation for reaching London Zoo, such as:

By Tube (Underground)

There are 3 tube stations near London Zoo: Camden Town Station, Regent’s Park Station, and Baker Street Station.

Camden Town station is the nearest tube stop, offering a swift 16-minute walk to the attraction via its Northern Line connection.

The journey from Regent’s Park station to the Zoo takes around 24 minutes on foot.

For those departing from Baker Street station, simply catch the 274 bus in the Northbound direction, which will transport you directly to the Zoo.

By Bus

Two bus routes, 274 and C2, provide convenient access to London Zoo.

Bus number 274 travels from Marble Arch and Baker Street to Ormonde Terrace. 

On the other hand, C2 runs from Victoria Station, Oxford Circus, or Great Portland Street to Gloucester Gate.

You can also take the bus number 88 to reach London Zoo. 

The 88 Northbound bus goes towards Kentish Town and visitors to the London Zoo must get off Albany Street at Prince Albert Road.

If you take the Southbound bus 88 going towards Great Portland Street, get off at Albany Street at Reagent Park’s Barracks. 

These stops are just a few minutes away from the zoo. 

By London Overground

Camden Road station serves as the closest London Overground station to London Zoo.

You can take a leisurely 20-minute walk or board bus number 274 to get to the Zoo.

You can conveniently plan your route through TfL’s website for a well-organized journey via tube, bus, or London Overground.

By Train

Euston station stands as the closest national rail station to the Zoo. 

You can use the tube or bus services to reach your destination from there.

For those choosing the tube route, simply board the Northern Line at Euston station and disembark at Camden Town or Chalk Farm.

Alternatively, at Euston Rail Station, you can catch bus number 253 from bus stop G, which travels to Camden High Street.

From Camden High Street, a brisk 15-minute walk will lead you to London Zoo. 

Alternatively, you can opt for bus number 274, headed towards Victoria Gate, which conveniently drops you off outside the Zoo.

London Zoo Parking

The car park for London Zoo is located at postcode NW1 4SX, situated on the Outer Circle of Regent’s Park. 

Notably, it falls outside the congestion charge zone. 

This parking facility operates on a first-come, first-served principle without any reservation option. 

The zoo entrance features a designated disabled parking bay right in front. 

Additionally, disabled visitors can park along the main road, where they can stay for a maximum of four hours.
